About me
I’m Rebeca Peláez.
I'm a product designer based in London.
I grew up in Puebla, Mexico, and later moved to Berlin to learn German, before settling in London to continue my studies. I studied Arts, Culture, and Media at UAL, followed by an MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology at the LSE—where I developed a deep curiosity for how people think, feel, behave, and relate to the world around them—and how that world, in turn, shapes them.
Today, I bring that perspective into my work as a product designer at EY Beehive, where I design tools that help tax professionals navigate complex workflows, both internally and with clients. I approach design through empathy, research, and systems thinking, creating experiences that feel simple, thoughtful, and human.
What I Value
01
Curiosity
I approach every project with curiosity, constantly asking 'why' to uncover user needs and challenge assumptions.
02
Play
“Play Is The Pleasure Of Being Inventive, Mischievous, Imaginative, And Trying Something New.”
I believe the best solutions come from creative exploration and trying unconventional approaches to familiar problems.
03
Empathy and Perspective-taking
It is essential to understand the feelings and thoughts of the Other in life while designing products.
04
Community
Great design happens through collaboration. I value diverse perspectives and believe the best solutions emerge when teams work together to challenge and build on each other's ideas.
